Parent Shout: “I want to give a shoutout to Hiawatha’s art teacher, Ms. Wheaton-Rodriguez. She graciously volunteered to help with the Hiawatha Make and Take that the Parents Club does for Kindergarten thru 3rd graders. This year it was a ‘cookies and canvas’ event. She was absolutely AMAZING. She took her time and even prepared slideshows to teach the kids how to make their canvases. This is an after-school event and she really showed how much she cares for our kids. We are so lucky to have her at our school!” Ms. Wheaton-Rodriguez exemplifies every aspect of our Portrait of Team Member and everyone benefits from her collaborative attitude! Thank you Ms. W-R!

STAFF SHOUT: "I want to shout out Ms. Singleton (Whitmer English) for all she does. She is an excellent teacher who is warm and welcoming to all her students. She organizes all the ticket sales for every music, theatre and sporting event at Whitmer. She encourages students who want to be teachers. She stays at school late to make sure her classes' grades are always up to date, announces for sporting events and she even helps with the school talent show. When you think of a teacher who exemplifies all the hard work and FUN this job can include - Ms.Singleton is the perfect example." If you have worked with Ms. S, you know her relentless pursuit of excellence. We are so grateful for the work of this Panther!

Scott genuinely loves his students and wants what is best for them. I am so grateful for his leadership and the positive atmosphere he fosters at Washington Junior High. I feel like he deserves to be recognized for creating such a nurturing and supportive environment for our children to learn in.
