STAFF SHOUT:

"I HAVE to shout out the amazing counselors at Shoreland. Mrs. Harris is tried and true, and Mrs. Cheeks is new to us this year, but has fit right in as a vital piece of our puzzle. Our students love them and so do our staff. Empathy, patience, flexibility, and teamwork are only a few of the things that describe these amazing ladies. Shoreland is beyond lucky to have them! ♥️"

This duo provides so much love to our Firebird family. We cannot thank them enough!

PARENT SHOUT:

"Last year Ms. Adams (Silver Creek) got pied, but this year it was Mr. Kahl's turn! Shout out to Kahl for agreeing to let the top 3 fundraiser sellers pie him in the face. The kids absolutely loved it and were so excited to see him get pied 3x at one assembly & then 3 more for the 2nd assembly. Silver Creek is lucky to have him! Thank you from the parent club :)"

Kids never forget adults who give them joyful memories! Way to go, Mr. Kahl!

STUDENT TO STAFF SHOUT:

"Mr. Tom Lapoint (Whitmer math) is a great teacher because he goes beyond just teaching a lesson. He takes the time to build real, personal relationships with his students. His ability to connect with us makes the classroom feel comfortable and supportive, which makes it so much easier to focus and do our best work. He genuinely listens and cares about what’s going on in our lives, and that makes us want to show up and put in the effort. Because of the respect and understanding he shows, his class doesn’t just feel like school, it feels like a place where we’re valued and encouraged to grow. He notices when you’re off just by the look on your face and comforts you as soon as he notices, no matter what."

To see students as PEOPLE first is truly exemplifying "every student matters!"

PARENT TO STAFF SHOUTOUT:

"Mrs. Stormer from Monac goes above and beyond to create a warm, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment for all of her students. This year, my daughter has been learning how to study effectively and advocate for herself, and Mrs. Stormer has shown incredible patience, understanding, and dedication in guiding her through that process. She has provided a safe space for my daughter to share her worries and anxieties, offering reassurance and encouragement every step of the way. Mrs. Stormer has taken extra time to create personalized study tools and to teach new strategies that help my daughter grasp and retain information more confidently. Her kindness and commitment have made such a meaningful difference, and we are truly grateful for all that she does."

Ms. Stormer's quiet, steady way of leading is SO effective and warm!
