STAFF TO STAFF SHOUTOUT:

"There truly aren’t enough words to describe this incredible team. The 4th grade crew works tirelessly to make sure every single student feels successful, supported, loved, and safe. They collaborate, problem-solve, encourage one another, and always put kids first. Their dedication goes far beyond academics — they build confidence, nurture growth, and create a classroom community where students feel seen and valued every single day.

And while not pictured, a huge shoutout to Mr. John, who works just as hard behind the scenes and makes such a positive impact on students every day. The team wouldn’t be the same without him!

This group is simply the best, and their students are so lucky to have them. 💛🍎"

Do you remember who loved you and supported you when you were 9?
We know these Firebirds will!

HIRING EVENT APRIL 16
BUILDING AND COMMUNITY SHOUTOUT:

"I cannot put into words how loved, appreciated and seen I feel by my coworkers, my administrators, the students and their families. While off for a cancer-related surgery, I received so many messages of support, prayers, flowers, visits up to the hospital, care packages and visits to my home from other teachers.

If this wasn't already an absolutely incredible show of support, on my first day back from leave, I was surprised by the entire school staff and student body wearing pink and inviting me out into the hallway for a beautiful celebration of my cancer-free status and welcomed return to work.

It was the most beautiful example of how Greenwood is a family and brought tears to so many! Mr. Colon even wore a pink shirt, which I am told he never does. If you need any proof of the words "There is No Place Like Greenwood", please check out the KnightLife tiktok page to see this display of school, even district-wide support!"

When one of us hurts, we ALL hurt. Congratulations to this incredible warrior, Jessican Hubbell from Greenwood!

"Kim Bigelow is the Health Aide at McGregor. She is always so helpful and we look forward to seeing her. She always decorates the office and the kids love seeing what she has done. Her current display (a play on 67) is so funny and fitting for the cold/flu season!"

What a creative idea that also shows you KNOW your students!

PARENT SHOUT:

"I wanted to reach out and share how truly thankful I am for Mrs. Zielinski and the love and dedication she shows Charlotte every single day. Charlotte has hard days sometimes, but Mrs. Zielinski never gives up on her. She is always finding new ways to keep Charlotte motivated, confident, and excited about school—and that means everything to me as a mom. Her kindness extends far beyond the classroom, too. At the Whitmer cheer clinic, Mrs. Zielinski’s daughter stayed with Charlotte the entire time, making sure she knew the motions and felt comfortable. Her other daughter even brought Charlotte seashells back from Florida, which absolutely melted her heart. Those little moments have made such a big impact on Charlotte and our family. This is what an amazing teacher looks like—someone who genuinely cares, goes above and beyond, and makes every child feel seen and valued. We are so grateful for Mrs. Zielinski and feel incredibly lucky to have her in Charlotte’s life. Thank you for supporting such wonderful teachers."

There is NOTHING like knowing your chld is cared for in your absence.

STAFF SHOUT:

"It takes a village to raise a child and Pam Frey is the epitome of this quote. She is so much more than "just" a para. Pam is the heart of our classroom and the wheel that keeps it running.

Our students (and staff) affectionately call her Grammy Pammy, and rightfully so. We all have those memories, and feelings, of calm and love when walking into a grandparents home. That is what Pam brings to our classroom and to our students. That undeniable feeling that they are safe, loved and cared for. She keeps extra snacks, plans fun activities and always has a hug ready for every student, or staff member, in need. She attends games, shows and birthday parties for past and present students. This isn't done out of obligation, but only love. There is no doubt that she leaves a lasting impression and core memories for all that cross her path.

Silver Creek is beyond lucky to have her as part of our staff!!"

I'm not crying. YOU'RE crying! What a testament to an incredible child advocate!
