"Mrs. O’Brien is the long term sub currently at Meadowvale Elementary for Physical Education. She has stepped right into the role perfectly and the students absolutely adore her! My kids are coming home every week after their PE day so excited to share what new activity they did & wanting to recreate the game/activity at home with their friends. I know it’s super hard sometimes to step into a role last-minute, but she has done such an amazing job! I know the students will miss her so much when she leaves. Thank you, Mrs O'Brien, for all you are doing!"

"A huge shout-out to Sarah O'Brien, who has been an incredible long-term substitute for Physical Education at Meadowvale! She has provided students with awesome experiences that focus on both individual skill development (like in soccer) and teamwork. Sarah also organized this year's Pumpkin Run, mapping a new course that challenged our Eagles to do their very best. We are exceptionally lucky to have Sarah's dedication and enthusiasm at Meadowvale!"

"A huge shout-out to Meadowvale 3rd grade teacher, Kristin McCorkle, for her incredible dedication to making every student feel welcome! When a new student joined her class, she went above and beyond to ensure a smooth transition. Before the student even stepped through the door, Mrs. McCorkle had already organized a student welcoming committee, ensured the student had a clear space, and arranged for peer buddies to offer a friendly greeting, guide them through the school, and sit with them at lunch. Her proactive effort demonstrates a true commitment to building an inclusive and supportive classroom community."
Inclusion happens because of people like Kristin McCorkle. 💙

1. "Mrs. Sabrina Wilson is a wonderful Whitmer teacher! She is a fabulous advocate for her students to be sure they are growing and successful, in not only the classroom, but also in life! Her warmth and humor are a huge bonus for her students as well. I am proud to work alongside her!"
2. "Sabrina provides a safe and fun environment for her students. Allowing them to be comfortable and feel safe to be themselves. She also teaches them many life skills. Such as cooking and laundry. Sabrina and her students help keep the Clothing Closet going by sorting, washing and folding the donations that come in. She is an amazing teacher and person!"

"Greenwood had an absolutely awesome Color Run, and was also an awesome example of parent volunteers and staff pulling together in a time of need. When a student needed assistance, parent volunteers and Greenwood staff immediately sprung to action to make sure the person was okay, redirecting the path of the run without a big disruption to the event. It was just one of those times when you see exactly what community means. And it was beautiful!"
