PARENT-TO-STAFF SHOUT:
"Moving to a new school in the 4th grade is super hard, especially for a kiddo who is more reserved. Mrs. Kerr was an absolute God-send for my son at Greenwood. She helped break him out of his shell and helped him make some pretty great friends by facilitating a classroom culture of family that was unmatched. Even though he’s moved on to the next grade, she has made such a significant impact on our family and his perspective of a new school. When they were asked to draw their Heart Maps (people and things that they hold dear), Mrs. Kerr was included on his map, which was so well-deserved. She has an amazing gift, and we are so lucky to have her in this district!"
Adults who make children feel safe in new environments are so precious to parents!

STUDENT SHOUT:
"I want to shout out Mr Matt Lapoint at Whitmer for being the best teacher I've ever had. He came to my art show, when my family or friends couldn’t attend that day and showed me so much support. I was so grateful. I genuinely don’t think I'd be here today, a Senior ready to graduate, without the help of Mr. Lapoint all 4 years. He truly does so much for me and fellow students, and that should be recognized."
We could not agree more.

PARENT-TO-STAFF SHOUT:
A big shout-out to Mrs.Sara Michaelis at Silver Creek for the incredible love and support she shows both inside and outside of work. Not only does she go above and beyond during the week, but she also takes time out of her weekends to show up at sporting events when she doesn’t have to. That kind of dedication speaks volumes about her heart and commitment.
On top of that, she creates such a safe, welcoming space for my child. She is always encouraging him to freely express his likes and be exactly who he is. That kind of encouragement is priceless, and it truly makes a lasting impact.
Thank you for being such a positive influence and role model. You are deeply appreciated!
🙌❤️"
They see it.
We see it too.
Way to go Ms. M!

STAFF-TO-STAFF SHOUTOUT:
Don Dottei and Art Winzenried are retired Washington Local bus drivers that chose to come back and sub for us. Although they are both happy in their retirement, and would rather not drive as much as we ask them to, they continue week in and week out to save us.
Each week we have more field trips than we can fill, and because of Don and Art's dedication, it's possible for students to have an experience outside the classroom.
They are definitely our Transportation heroes!!

STUDENT SHOUT:
"Mrs Baldwin helped me in so many ways with math. She was so patient with me when I didn't understand.she is overall a good teacher. She was my favorite. She was hard on me but that made me do better. I also loved her teaching skills every day. I would walk into her class and she would say hello and put a smile on my face. As a freshman I still would go to her if I had any problems with anything. That is how much she means to me. She helped me catch up if I was behind on math. Thank you for being the person you are, Mrs Baldwin!"
Student praise is always so heartfelt and right on the money! What an impact Ms. B made!

STAFF SHOUT:
"I’m in a new position at Jefferson, and I just wanted to take a moment to give a heartfelt shout out to a few amazing colleagues from across the district: Kim Huey (Jefferson), Stephanie Ewing (Whitmer), Theresa Laser (Washington), Courtney Sifuentes (Washington), Wendy Kiser (Whitmer), and Susan Mee (Meadowvale).
From day one, they have all been incredibly kind, helpful, and supportive. Every time I’ve had a question, they’ve gone above and beyond to guide me and make sure I had what I needed. I feel truly lucky to be working alongside such a dedicated and thoughtful group. Just wanted to share some appreciation — they deserve it!"
Being new is not easy - but being kind sure is for this rockstar team!
