To celebrate their hard work, students enjoyed a real fortune cookie treat and compared their handwritten fortunes to the real ones — a fun and thoughtful way to wrap up the project!
"Both Mr. Villar and Miss Rupp went above and beyond to ensure my daughters transition to Washington Jr. High was a successful and pleasant one! She and I were very nervous coming into this new situation and they took every concern we had and crushed it. "Mrs. O’Brien is the long term sub currently at Meadowvale Elementary for Physical Education. She has stepped right into the role perfectly and the students absolutely adore her! My kids are coming home every week after their PE day so excited to share what new activity they did & wanting to recreate the game/activity at home with their friends. I know it’s super hard sometimes to step into a role last-minute, but she has done such an amazing job! I know the students will miss her so much when she leaves. Thank you, Mrs O'Brien, for all you are doing!"

"A huge shout-out to Meadowvale 3rd grade teacher, Kristin McCorkle, for her incredible dedication to making every student feel welcome! When a new student joined her class, she went above and beyond to ensure a smooth transition. Before the student even stepped through the door, Mrs. McCorkle had already organized a student welcoming committee, ensured the student had a clear space, and arranged for peer buddies to offer a friendly greeting, guide them through the school, and sit with them at lunch. Her proactive effort demonstrates a true commitment to building an inclusive and supportive classroom community."

2. "Sabrina provides a safe and fun environment for her students. Allowing them to be comfortable and feel safe to be themselves. She also teaches them many life skills. Such as cooking and laundry. Sabrina and her students help keep the Clothing Closet going by sorting, washing and folding the donations that come in. She is an amazing teacher and person!"
