PARENT TO STAFF SHOUT:

"I want to give a shout out to Mrs. Robertson from Shoreland!! She is such an awesome, kind and caring person/teacher. She was my daughter’s teacher first and now 9 years later she is my son’s! Crazy how time flies and how we had the pleasure of having her twice! She is just as thoughtful now as she was then and has always looked out for both of my kids. My son is going to miss being in her class and I’ll miss seeing her friendly face! Not much longer and we’ll hopefully have the pleasure of having our last baby in her class! So thankful for teachers like her; she truly cares and it shows.”

'Breaking up' with your child's teacher is so hard - especially when they are THIS great!

⚠️The school year may be over but the shouts keep pouring in! ⚠️

PARENT TO STAFF SHOUT:

"I wanted to take a moment to recognize Mr Hodnicki, my daughter’s Honors History teacher. He has made learning both fun and engaging while maintaining high expectations in the classroom. His assignments are thoughtful, his class discussions are consistent and meaningful, and he has a unique ability to bring history to life for his students. One of the things I appreciate most is that the conversations and lessons from his class often become the topic of our after-school car rides. It’s clear that he inspires students to think critically and stay engaged beyond the classroom. We are grateful for the positive impact he has had on my daughter’s learning experience this year."

Way to go, Mr. Hodnicki!

✨We are excited to announce the "Whitmer Virtual Art Gallery", showcasing the incredible artistic talents and accomplishments of our students this school year. ✨

This online gallery celebrates creativity, self-expression, and the power of visual storytelling. From drawings and paintings to digital designs and mixed media, our students have poured passion and imagination into their work.

Art isn’t just a subject — it’s a vital part of a well-rounded education. It teaches us to think critically, express emotions, embrace diverse perspectives, and solve problems creatively. In a world that values innovation and empathy, the arts play a powerful role in shaping thoughtful, well-rounded individuals.

We invite you to explore the gallery, appreciate the talent of our young artists, and be inspired by their vision. Each piece reflects not just skill, but stories, perspectives, and the courage to create.

PARENT SHOUT:

"I want to give a shout out to Ms. Jess Stripling at Whitmer! She goes above and beyond for my daughter and always looks out for her. The little things that she does just to make Kaitlyn’s day go better does not go unnoticed. For Kaitlyn’s birthday she brought a cookie cake to school and gave her a gift with cards signed from her friends. We are so thankful for the support that she gives her and she’s always making sure to capture memories at school. You rock Ms. Jess!"

Going above and beyond to make a child feel special is something that students (and their parents!) will never forget.

STUDENT SHOUT:

"Mr. Hoover (Jefferson) is genuinely one of the most kind and chill teachers I’ve had. He checks in on his students, making everyone feel seen and valued. He truly stands out from the rest, and is one of the best here in WLS!"

When a student takes the time to publicly shout out their teacher, the impact has been powerful. 💙

PARENT SHOUT:

"Ms. Goa at Meadowvale is a true gem! From the very beginning of the school year till the end she not only taught my daughter but has supported her, encouraged her, and loved her. My daughter had to have surgery in January and Ms. Goa went out of her way to check on her, even outside of school hours. She made her transition back to school so easy. This year has also brought on a lot of changes & emotions for my daughter & Ms. Goa has gone well beyond the duties of a teacher & been there for her & guided her in different situations many times. My daughter often refers to her as “her school mom” and looks forward to seeing her every day. She says she makes her feel safe & loved. I just couldn’t be more thankful for the lasting impact she has left on her. Thank you Ms. Goa for all you do and for making this last year in elementary school so memorable. We will miss you!"

A challenging situation like a surgery calls for an extra-kind adult to help a child through- and Ms. Goa is the PERFECT example.
