Washington Junior High Schedules for May and June

Principal's Message
Washington Junior High School
Home of the Cougars!

Welcome to Washington Junior High!  We are eager to help our students through their junior high experience. It is our hope that this school year will prove to be a successful one that brings challenging learning experiences with new activities and relationships.

Junior High is a crucial time in the learning process. Throughout the year, teachers will work with students to prepare them to be successful both in and out of the classroom. Preparing for the future involves reinforcing life skills and character traits necessary for success: being on time, being prepared, learning to use new technology, being able to work responsibly with others, and being able to conduct oneself in a courteous, respectful manner are just some of the skills necessary.

Great schools are the result of teachers, staff, and administration working with students and their families to ensure academic success. Each Washington Junior High School student will receive high-quality instruction. Administrators and teachers at WJHS work together to discuss feedback regarding instruction. Also, teachers across the district have access to professional development, and we encourage teachers to reach out to parents for support with academic and behavioral concerns.

We urge all of our students to make the most of the extra-curricular opportunities here at WJHS. Our clubs are student council, Girls Rock, Man Up, Youth 2 Youth, along with various athletic teams.

This will be an exciting year full of learning and growth!

Go Cougars!
