STAFF SHOUT:
"I want to shout out Ms. Singleton for all she does. She is an excellent teacher who is warm and welcoming to all her students. She organizes all the ticket sales for every music, theatre and sporting event at Whitmer. She encourages students who want to be teachers. She stays at school late to make sure her classes' grades are always up to date, announces for sporting events and she even helps with the school talent show. When you think of a teacher who exemplifies all the hard work and FUN this job can include - Ms.Singleton is the perfect example."
If you have worked with Ms. S, you know her relentless pursuit of excellence. We are so grateful for the work of this Panther!

PARENT SHOUT:
"I would like to give a shout out to Washington Junior High Principal, Scott Villar. Scott has a calm and soothing demeanor. He always seems to find the time and has kind words to say to support his staff, students and their families. This has made such a difference for me as a parent during difficult situations. Scott genuinely loves his students and wants what is best for them. I am so grateful for his leadership and the positive atmosphere he fosters at Washington Junior High. I feel like he deserves to be recognized for creating such a nurturing and supportive environment for our children to learn in. Thank you for making such a positive impact and being a source of strength during challenging times."
Mr. Villar is the perfect blend of rigor and relationships and we are lucky to have him!

PARENT SHOUT:
"Miss Jacob did something so small for my daughter but it was SO big to her. She’s been struggling with confidence lately and Miss Jacob gave her a “Fearless” Friendship bracelet on Friday Friendship Bracelet day! She told her it was because she was fearless to ride her horse. It boosted her confidence so much and she wore it proudly the next day at 3rd Grade Boost Camp! Thank you for taking the time to do the little things, Miss Jacob. They mean so much! ❤️🖤"
Ms. Jacob is the perfect balance of relationship/rigor and we are SO BLESSED she chose WLS!

PARENT SHOUT:
"I would like to shout out Whitmer distance track coach Eric Browning. Last night after practice my daughter left her Stanley in her unlocked locker by mistake. She didn't notice til this morning, after which she was devastated and went to school feeling really blue.
Well Coach Browning, who does not even work in the school, found it after she left last night and got up extra early today and was at the school waiting for her with her cup.
It's little things like this that's so big to our kids, that shows the love WLS teachers/coaches have for our kids that make me proud to be a 3rd generation Panther family. He could have waited till after school at practice but instead went an extra mile to make my kiddo smile!"
What a selfless, kind gesture! 🥰
