WLS 7-12 Summer School

Washington Local’s 7-12 school summer program is provided through an online learning platform. The summer school program is a credit recovery program that provides students the opportunity to take courses needed for high school graduation. “Credit recovery” is for students who have failed one or more courses needed for high school graduation. All summer school core courses are taught through computer-based, online instruction with required in person learning Monday- Thursday.

Whitmer Friday Schedule 2/4-5/27

Beginning Friday, February 4 and during the remainder of the school year Washington Local Schools will have shortened school days on Fridays– Early Release Fridays– so teachers can plan, discuss curriculum, and identify how to meet individual students' needs.

Students will be dismissed early on Fridays starting February 4th.

* K-6 students will be released at 1:30 PM.
* 7-12 students will be released at 12:30 PM.

You should expect transportation dismissal routes to run approximately two-hours earlier than normal on Early Release Fridays. Students will be served lunch before dismissal.  Families whose children attend after school child care should make appropriate arrangements to address this change in schedule.
